Popular stores in the metro area will be closed on Thanksgiving

DENVER - Several retailers are opting out of the head start on holiday shopping this year. They are allowing their employees to spend the Thanksgiving with their families by staying closed all day on the holiday.

This year one of the biggest shopping centers in the U.S. is joining in on closing for the holiday. The Mall of America will not open for shoppers on Thanksgiving.

With that big announcement, 9NEWS decided to look into which stores in the Denver metro area were keeping their doors locked on Thanksgiving.
