RENO, Nev. - A British couple's visit to the United States has been anything but normal.
Eddie Lawler and Nancy Wilson arrived in the states eight weeks ago.
It was their first U.S. trip together, and one they will never forget.
The trip started with a whirlwind, literally.
They were forced to take shelter during a tornado warning while in New York.
After that, they were besieged by cicadas in Tennessee, record heat in New Orleans and floodwaters in Nebraska.
Finally, they survived last week's fatal train wreck in the Nevada desert.
Now they're hoping they've turned their luck around.
After five years of dating, they've tied the knot, exchanging wedding vows in Lake Tahoe.
The couple will be visiting Las Vegas before heading back to the U.K.
They had planned to take a helicopter trip to see the city, but are rethinking their plans after the train wreck.
