Sheen spent the better part of Christmas Day in jail after being arrested at a home in the ski resort town.

One of the charges he was arrested on is class 5 felony menacing. Police spokeswoman Stephanie Dasaro says that charge entails using a weapon in a threatening way though she didn't provide any details on what kind of weapon Sheen is accused of using.

Sheen was also arrested for investigation of second-degree assault, also a felony, and criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.

Sheen's lawyer didn't return a telephone call seeking comment.

Sheen hasn't been charged and is free on $8,500 bond. It will be up to prosecutors to decide whether to file charges.
