Xcel says the substation at 14th and Jackson was experiencing an outage affecting 5,200 customers in the areas from Quebec to Colorado and from Alameda to 13th Avenue.
The power company used field switching to restore power about 4 p.m., close to two hour after it went out. The company says there was no fire or explosion this time.
National Jewish Medical Center was affected by the outage, but had power restored by 3:30 p.m.
