Denver Health Medical Center says Laurie Gorham, 27, was listed in fair condition Sunday after being hit by what police say is a dark-colored SUV or pick-up at the corner of Central Park Boulevard and East 29th Avenue earlier in the week.
The Denver Coroner's Officer says doctors "emergently" delivered Gorham's baby boy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday after she was hit. They say the baby was not alive when it was born.
No suspects in the case have come forward.
"We'd like to pray for you as well and hope that you can just turn yourself in, and just prevent things like this from happening in the future," Pete Sherlock, Gorham's husband, said on Saturday.
Denver Police Det. Matthew Murray says they are investigating the case as a serious bodily injury accident, and will present it to the Denver District Attorney's office. He says it would be up to the district attorney whether additional charges would be filed.
Anyone with information is asked to call Denver Police or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP.
