Tesla completes $2 billion buy of SolarCity, Colorado's biggest solar installer

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Tesla Motors Inc., Elon Musk's electric-car maker, has completed its $2 billion all-stock acquisition of solar-panel installer SolarCity Corp. in a bid to create a company that can sell both cars and solar power units at its stores.

The deal now is worth a lot less than its $2.6 billion value when it was announced in August as the companies' share price has fallen.
