Pilot injured after plane crashes at Centennial Airport

The pilot of a single-engine experimental plane has minor injuries after the aircraft flipped over onto its top while landing. It happened just before noon.

CENTENNIAL - Fire crews are responding to an airplane crash at Centennial Airport on Thursday.

The pilot of the single-engine aircraft sustained minor injuries in the crash, Centennial Airport said. No other injuries were reported. 

Officials say the aircraft was heading to the airport from the east when the crash occurred. An investigation into the incident is underway. 

South Metro Fire has responded to the scene.
