Walmart wants entrepreneur to pitch products

KUSA - Are you an entrepreneur looking for your big break? Walmart may have a deal for you, a press release said.

The company will have an Open Call event for entrepreneurs and their made in the USA products at its global headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas on June 28.

Deals will vary in size, from providing products to a few stores in a local market, to supplying hundreds or thousands of Walmart and Sam’s Club stores and on Walmart.com.

Previous deals include a kids’ tee ball set from Carhart Products made from recycled automotive plastic on the shelves of 72 Walmart stores and on Walmart.com, and a cell phone case from minority-owned small business Trident Case to be sold in more than 3,800 Walmart stores across the nation.

“Our deal with Walmart gives us the potential to reach a national audience and take our company to the next level,” said Carhart Products founder, Dave Hartman, in the press release. “Our deal with Walmart was a game changer.”

Registration is now open at walmart-jump.com. The deadline to apply is May 18.
