GRAND JUNCTION (AP) - School officials say two high school students admitted to distributing fliers around Grand Junction touting the benefits of crystal methamphetamine.

Mesa County School District 51 spokesman Jeff Kirtland Wednesday says the Fruita Monument High School students were suspended.

The fliers started showing up on windshields at Mesa Mall, at Wal-Mart, and at Grand Junction and Fruita Monument high schools Wednesday.

Some of the fliers said, "One man's risk is another man's benefit!" Some said crystal meth is "great for weight loss," and that the drug has been "trusted and used since 1887."

Grand Junction police say they consider the fliers a hoax, and the businesses are not pressing for trespassing charges.
