Outlaws lacrosse commemorates Star Wars Day

DENVER - The Denver Outlaws have their first home game of the Major League Lacrosse season on Sunday, May 4 at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Playing off the date of the home opener, the Outlaws want fans to come out for "May the Fourth Be With You Day."

Keeping with the Star Wars theme, the Outlaws (1-0) will represent the Rebel Alliance with orange X-Wing pilot jerseys. They are hosting the Ohio Machine who will dress in white jerseys that resemble Storm Trooper jerseys.

Fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Star Wars character. The speciality Star Wars jerseys both teams will be wearing will be auctioned off after the game to benefit the Wounded Warrior Foundation.

The Wounded Warrior Foundation works to honor and empower wounded US service members. WWP works with veterans to help them adjust to their injuries, cope with lingering stress triggers and be successful at work and in relationships.

The Outlaws and the Wounded Warrior Project worked with Lucas Films on the design of the jerseys that only be word during Sunday's game. It starts at 3 p.m. Tickets are $12.
