KUSA – A short film depicting what it’s like being a young Muslim woman in America helped a Colorado teen earn a trip to the White House earlier this month.
The White House Student Film Festival selects the brightest young filmmakers to create pieces that show their world.
This year's theme was "The World I Want to Live In.”
13 films were chosen to be showcased at the festival, including one from 15-year-old Nashrah Mohd Reza of Colorado.
She joined 9NEWS at 4 p.m. to talk more about her film, “Through My Eyes.”
