ENGLEWOOD - South Metro Fire Rescue crews rushed to a house fire in Englewood early Tuesday morning. Luckily, the family inside safely escaped without injuries.
It was their working fire alarms that crews credit for saving their lives. South Metro Fire officials say when they arrived the fire was burning in the basement and filling the house with smoke.
Crews have since brought the fire under control but investigators will remain on scene.
It happened at this home near South Havana Street and Orchard Road.
