Bachmann was talking to students at Drake University, giving her arguments against so-called "Obama-care."

She was interrupted while outlining her ideas for Americans to purchase individual health policies, when someone asked "so screw the sick and homeless?"

"Who said that? You could not be, you could not be further from the truth. You're looking at someone who lived at below poverty. Have you ever lived at that?" Bachmann fired back.

Bachmann added that she and her husband have fostered 23 children, using some of what they've earned to help others.
