Soicher: NFL Draft is more "snore" than "spectacle"

I don't get the NFL draft.

Nobody's ever heard of 250 of the 256 players who are selected over the course of the three-day event and yet it sells out Radio City Music Hall in New York, demands live broadcasts on two different national television networks and dominates local news coverage in every major market across the country.

It's boring.

Admittedly, I'm more of a baseball and basketball freak than a football guy, but I couldn't even follow the MLB draft the last two years and a close family friend got picked in the early rounds both times.

I guess I don't get ANY draft.

See you tonight on 9NEWS at 4 pm, 5 pm, 6 pm, 9 pm and 10 pm for my exclusive non-stop NFL draft coverage and please join us on Sunday at 6 pm for our hour-long Broncos draft recap special.
