KUSA - It's the secret everyone is out to find: how to lose weight and have fun at the same time. Arlene Zaffle thinks she has the answer: MakeItMe.net

Losing weight is simple. Just eat less and add more exercise to your daily life. However, Arlene has found there needs to be motivation for people to change their habits. Creating good habits take at least 21 consecutive days of performing that activity. So, Arlene came up with rewards for people to stay motivated.

MakeItMe.net is an online program designed for adults that provides "FITNESS REWARDS". As members record their "active minutes" each day they earn rewards as they progress around an imaginary map. To hear Arlene explain it, visit the video link to the right of this article.

The rewards are provided by local merchants. They cover everything from movie passes, to massages, free meals, trial memberships in fitness clubs, even a free golf swing video session. But the only way MakeItMe.net's members can "earn" their rewards is by adding more exercise to their daily life.

The merchants look forward to acquiring new customers in a completely no-pressure setting, and the participants get both fit and free rewards.

The Fitness Rewards are no-cost to MakeItMe members. Membership is also very reasonably priced at $24.99 / year. Employees of Hospitals, K-12 Schools, City/County Government Employees, Police and Firefighters are eligible for 90 day free introductory memberships. The City of Aurora Employees' summer fitness program partnered with MakeItMe.net for their incentives.

Currently MakeItMe rewards are based in Aurora CO. The greater Denver area will be available in the very near future.

MakeItMe doesn't advocate any specific exercise plans and therefore meshes easily with any fitness program, from tri-athlete training or taking a walk after dinner, to corporate wellness programs
