Gadgets: "Cat Genie," "Squeeze The Banker" & more!

KUSA - For our latest Gadgets segment we looked at products that made their debut at the 2009 Global Pet Expo, starting with The Cat Genie.

The Cat Genie

The Cat Genie is described as the only automatic cat box that flushes. The website tells it all. The Cat Genie looks like a potty which you install on the bathroom floor next to a real toilet. A plumbing line extends between the two.

Sensors see when kitty is in action. The Cat Genie's turbo-hopper and powerflusher combo does the rest, combing through permanent washable granules that never need changing.

You really have to love your cat to own this one. $329.

Shed-A-Way

For dog owners Bissell is out with the "Shed-A-Way" vacuum attachment. It fits all major vacuum brands. The attachment acts as a grooming device and removes shedding hair before it collects on furniture and floors. $29.95

Poochie Bells

Poochie Bells are dog doorbells designed for your dog to ring them when they need to go out. The inventors say it will take a bit of training and time but eventually the dog'll get it. $13.50.

The Freedom Sling

The Freedom sling comes from a company right here in Denver; it's an oxygen tank carrier that allows for hands free transportation.

Some people find traditional oxygen carriers to be rather cumbersome. The sling is similar to a backpack; there are several straps and clasps that give the wearer different options, to whatever is best for them .

Yubz Handset

If you're looking for a way to make your cell phone truly unique, then you may be interested in the Yubz.
