ERIE - Wildlife sightings are becoming more common and when there is a sighting, the e-mails and pictures are sent to 9NEWS. ![]() On Wednesday, a moose was spotted in Erie. Two people who saw the animal walking down Main Street in the early morning hours called the Division of Wildlife for help. The moose got spooked and ran to a nearby creek where it was tranquilized. That is when public works employees volunteered to bring in some equipment to lift the moose and get it loaded into a DOW truck. Heidi Marshall sent pictures of the moose to 9NEWS. She said the entire morning was "very special," and allowed the kids in the area to get a closer look at a moose. The moose is being relocated. Jennifer Churchill with the Division of Wildlife says the 2-year-old animal is probably the sister of the moose that was relocated a couple of weeks ago. She said she is concerned the Broomfield, Erie, Longmont area is becoming a new "superhighway for moose." (Copyright KUSA*TV, All Rights Reserved)
