Colorado company appoints Chertoff to board

LOVELAND (AP) - A Colorado company that offers security-clearance background investigations to government agencies has named former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff to its board.

KeyPoint Government Solutions Inc. CEO and President Jeff Schlanger said Thursday that Chertoff's knowledge would be invaluable to the Loveland-based company's business with federal, state and local governments.

Chertoff led the U.S. Department of Homeland Security from 2005 to early 2009.
