AURORA - Residents of Aurora are being offered a chance to "Save Their Home" this Saturday. ![]() In an effort to help troubled homeowners, the City of Aurora and the Aurora Association of Realtors are hosting a "Save Your Home" workshop Saturday, Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The event is being held at Rangeview High School located at 17599 E. Iliff. The event is intended for people who: Homeowners who attend the free events can receive on-site home loan reviews with their lender and get free debt counseling. Educations sessions including "How to Talk to Your Lender," "The Foreclosure Process and Options," "Workforce Center Job Resources," "Protecting Against Fraud and Predatory Lending," will also be offered. Representatives from Countrywide, Bank of America, Washington Mutual, JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Citibank will meet one-on-one with homeowners. To receive a home loan review and/or debt counseling the homeowner must bring the following documents: Other participants include: Aurora Loan Services, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, HUD, Veterans Affairs, City of Aurora HOAP, Colorado Foreclosure Hotline, Colorado Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) Adams and Arapahoe County Housing Authorities and Public Trustees, lenders and the offices of Congressmen Ed Perlmutter and MikeCoffman.
