DENVER - She has been told on a number of occasions not to drive. But last month, Denver prosecutors say the woman accused of causing a deadly crash on Pena Boulevard earlier this year decided to drive away from a Colorado Technical University class on "Leadership and Ethics." ![]() Because of that, the Denver District Attorney's office is once again asking a judge to revoke Sandra Jacobson's bond. Denver Police investigators believe Jacobson sideswiped a Freedom Taxi minivan back on Jan. 28. That crash caused the deaths of two librarians from Connecticut. Her bond was originally set at $50,000, but when she was arrested in February for driving under a suspended license, a Denver judge decided to up the bond to $200,000. Denver prosecutors had asked the judge to fully revoke the bond back then. In April, prosecutors told a Denver judge that Jacobson's alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet "spiked." Jacobson told the judge that she had not been drinking. The judge decided against holding her without bond. Last month, a probation officer who just so happened to be taking the same "Leadership and Ethics" class as Jacobson noticed her "get into a (late-model BMW) and drive away after class." That's according to court documents filed in Denver District Court this week. Jacobson was arrested this week and is currently being held in the Arapahoe County Jail. She will be held until another court hearing on the matter can be scheduled. (Copyright KUSA*TV, All Rights Reserved)
