APS has opened a second Rebound Center where students can come back to school and learn online at their own pace.

The district expects to graduate 55 students through the program with hopes of sending them to college.

State Farm Insurance granted $50,000 to Aurora to support the rebound program.

"We have an appreciation for the message we have put out many times, we cannot do this alone anymore, meaning we can't educate our students without the help of the community and different, amazing partners," APS Superintendent John Barry said.

Aurora Schools also celebrated its partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters, which is also supporting efforts to begin a mentoring program within the district.
