Gidget returns to her old ways

DENVER - It seemed like Gidget, the Denver Zoo's prognosticating sea lion, had finally jumped on the Denver Broncos' bandwagon this season.

Last week, after picking against the Broncos for every game, she finally selected them to win. It turned out she was wrong, and the Broncos lost to the Washington Redskins.

That has apparently scared Gidget back to her old ways.

When 9NEWS Sports Anchor Drew Soicher threw two footballs into her tank this week, one labeled the Broncos and the other labeled the San Diego Chargers, she went for the Chargers' ball.

She was so confident about her pick, Gidget gave 9NEWS Sports Anchor Susie Wargin two high fives afterwards.

Broncos fans shouldn't despair too much, however. Gidget is only 2-7 on the season.

Gidget makes her picks each Friday night on 9NEWS at 10 p.m.
