"Iris Bob"

KUSA - Bob Van Liere, or "Iris Bob", as he's called, says he wants to share his love of irises with people. And that's just what he's doing with his garden at 2700 West Amherst Avenue in Denver.

He's got two and a half acres, 1,000 different varieties and about 100,000 plants.

Bob says a lot of people love irises. He says he gets a big rush when he sees a new one bloom - he's taken with them every day.

He says they're easy to grow, don't need a lot of care and look beautiful.

Bob says he operates his Iris 4 U Iris Garden so he has something to do when he retires - and so he won't have to do so many "Honey Do" lists!
