A beautiful day at the Denver Botanic Gardens

DENVER - Thursday's lovely weather was the perfect excuse for 9NEWS Photojournalist Andy Buck to visit the Denver Botanic Gardens and shoot the grounds in the early stages of bloom.

9NEWS found a lot of folks getting out in the fresh air and warm temperatures, enjoying the eye-popping sights and smells.

Employees at the Botanic Gardens say this is just the beginning of many dazzling Colorado spring colors. As more and more plants and flowers bloom, patrons visiting can expect to see even more color.

The Botanic Gardens are open Saturday through Tuesday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
