Jordan Marcowitz is a teacher cahrged in a drug case
Denver Police Det. John White says 31-year-old Jordan Marcowitz was arrested on Dec. 7 for possession of controlled substance after a sting.
Allegedly Marcowitz had more than 25 grams in his possession at the time of his arrest. The street name of ectasy is "Molly."
Marcowitz is a teacher at Shadow Ridge Middle School in the Adams 12 School District, according to White. He is on administrative leave and has been with the district since August 2007.
Marcowitz is charged with distribution of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
He was released from jail on a $15,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Dec. 21 at 1:30 p.m.
