Florida resident Daniel Johns lives in the Naples area. Not long after adopting a cat that he named Waylon this summer, the cat disappeared.

Last month, a good Samaritan found Waylon on a snowy street in Colorado and brought the cat to Foothills Animal Shelter in Golden. A microchip in the cat linked him to Johns.

The shelter says Johns reunited with his cat Wednesday morning.
