COLORADO SPRINGS (AP) - A 53-year-old truck driver is charged with failure to secure a truck load after biohazard waste from tattoo parlors forced the temporary closure of Interstate 25.

Police say they charged Daniel Olson on Thursday after several containers broke open spilling needles, gauze and other items tainted with blood. A second spill was found on the side of the interstate.

Police say they contacted the Environmental Protection Agency for help with the cleanup.
