With children 6 and under, a trip to the store for the Aurora mom is a chore.

"It's a zoo, you know? Trying to get in and out of somewhere probably takes three times longer than it should," Meinert said while holding her youngest in her arms.

As long as she can remember, she's been a big fan of online shopping, and these days she's hooked on a particular site that offers an incentive she just can't pass up.

Instead of clipping coupons, Meinert can focus on her kids and she's getting paid when she shops for a lot everyday items that she has delivered right to her home.

"Our vitamins, that's definitely the killer thing to get savings on," Meinert said.

She says it's easy. All she has to do is start her purchase on Extrabux.com, so there's no real work involved.

"I go to Extrabux, go to my favorite stores. Go to Vitacost, check out and I'm good to go," Meinert explained.

All the time, her 9-week-old was fast asleep in her lap.

"Oh geez, this is so hard. Hurry, help me out," she joked.

In five years, Meinert has not only watched her family grow, but has also watched the money grow in her Extrabux account. She joined in 2007.

"Five hundred dollars - money that would have never been seen, thrown away basically, and for zero effort," she said.

Retailers see these sites as another platform to reach customers so they're willing to offer cash incentives. The websites then turn around and pass them along to shoppers.
