Several deputies from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office have been patrolling the area where the Waldo Canyon fire burned.
Deputies say their biggest concern is for burn area flooding. Sgt. Mike Schaller says the smallest accumulation could cause damage.
"The biggest concern is going to be heavy rain over the burn area leading down to Highway 24," Schaller said.
Deputies have been patrolling the area around the clock since Thursday.
The El Paso County Emergency Operation Managment team, the city of Colorado Springs and the Sheriff's Office have been in constant communication.
"We're all monitoring the weather patterns and getting reports of what's going on and where," Schaller said.
As of 10:30 p.m. Sunday, the Sheriff's Office says they have not received any reports of flooding.
