According to Weld County Sheriff Tim Schwartz, a suspicious devices were found on the 100 block of Eagle Avenue. The items were later determined to be solar lights. It is unclear who placed the items in the mailboxes.
Schwartz says this is the second incident on that same street. On Aug. 28, police were called in to investigate a similar threat. According to the Denver Post, a telemarketer threatened to blow up the house of a family who refused to purchase a product.
During that search, no bombs or explosive devices were found either.
Schwarz does not believe the incidents are related.
