Lt. Phil Champagne, a spokesman for the Denver Fire Department, says the man fell just before 9:30 a.m. Saturday and was taken to a hospital in full respiratory arrest.
The man, whose name has not been released, fell from a wall overlooking the Civic Center Bus Station right next to where the A Taste of Colorado festival is being held. A handful of people rushed to help the man, who appeared to be in his 20s.
Police spokeswoman Raquel Lopez tells The Denver Post that detectives told her it appears to have been an attempted suicide.
