9/11 Freedom Rally honors service and sacrifice

"It is the eleventh anniversary, and of course most people say 'always remember'" J.J.

Margiotta, chairman of Colorado Charity Alliance, said. "We remember. We're trying to actually do something about it. We want to make sure that people still remember those that are still out there sacrificing daily."

The 9/11 Freedom Rally is being held September 7, 8 and 9 at the Arapahoe Park Race Track in Aurora.

As part of the event 1,500 American flags is being set up on the track to honor Colorado's fallen. The Colorado Honor flags represent those lost during the attacks, American servicemen and women who served in the War on Terror and first responders serving at home.

The 9/11 Freedom Rally activities will include a Colorado Fallen Heroes Memorial Motorcycle Ride that begins on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. Other events include a car show, motorcycle show and musical entertainment. On Friday evening at 9:30, The Lost Trailers, a national recording country act will perform.

There will also be a wide variety of food vendors.
