The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reports Lester Miranda-Davis, of Clifton, pleaded guilty Friday to second-degree murder, menacing, second-degree burglary and robbery. Prosecutors dismissed a first-degree murder charge.
Miranda-Davis is one of four men police say were involved in the July 16, 2011, shooting that killed 31-year-old Jorge Carrasco and left two others injured. The four suspects also were accused of participating in two armed robberies and a home burglary the same day.
Authorities say 20-year-old Christian Fuentes, of East Palo Alto, Calif., also was arrested in the spree, and 21-year-old Jaime Cardenas and 25-year-old Fidel Silva, also of East Palo Alto, are still being sought.
