Aurora police investigate possible kidnapping

Investigators believe Bertha Garcia, 23, may have been abducted by her ex-boyfriend. He has been identified as German Medina, 32.

According to police, Medina went to his brother's house early Sunday morning and asked to borrow his brother's car and a gun. The brother let Medina borrow his car, but did not give him a gun.

Around the same time, Garcia was with a friend on Paris Street. Just after midnight, Garcia walked her friend out to his car and the friend drove away. As her friend was leaving, he saw a Hispanic male approach Garcia. A short time later, Garcia was reported as missing and has not been seen since.

Garcia was last seen wearing grey pajamas and pink flip-flops. She is described as 5'07" and weighs 125 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Medina is believed to be wearing a black leather coat. He is described as 5'08" and weighs 140 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and a thin beard. The car he borrowed from his brother is a black, 1997 Lexus with Colorado license plate 339-WDJ.
