His "Day of Giving" Fundraiser on 9/11 has been an annual event since 2002. In year's past, Bill have served free food for lunch and dinner in exchange for a donation to the JoAnn B Ficke Cancer Foundation. JoAnn is his late wife and all the money stays in Colorado for cancer patients and their families. Last year they raised $120,000 in one day.

This year, for the first time ever, Bill is serving breakfast. He says the food will keep coming until they run out.

Bill Ficke is a former Nuggets Assistant coach under Doug Moe. His love for sports (New York and otherwise) is very evident - his restaurant walls are adorned with an impressive array of jerseys and other memorabilia. Bill's connections to the Denver community are impressive too - it's very common to find local celebrities dining at Big Bills any time of the day or week.
