The Colorado State patrol says the driver lost control of her car while trying to swat a bug. Her car ended up next to Clear Creek, about 10 miles west of Golden.
Rescue crews were able to get her out of the car with only minor injuries.
The highway was closed for a couple of hours while crews pulled the wrecked Subaru from the ravine.
