At about 7:00 a.m. Saturday, a family member told police once the sun came up, they found the child's bicycle in front of a house in a nearby neighborhood. Family contacted the homeowner who told them Casarez was spending the night at their home with their son and the child was returned home safely.
Officers had responded to the 10000 block of Milwaukee Street on a report of a missing child around 11:30 p.m. Friday. Police say 9-year-old Ronaldo Casarez was supposed to sleep over at a relative's house, but when they arrived to pick up the boy he was not home. His bike was also missing. Casarez was last seen riding that bike near his house around 8:00 p.m.
