The Denver Post reports the university released several documents Friday after an open records request. A&M was among a number of programs 24-year-old James Holmes, an aspiring neuroscience graduate student, applied to in early 2011 before enrolling at the University of Colorado at Denver.
Holmes' application contains much the same information he submitted to several other universities, including college grades and letters of recommendation.
The letters praised Holmes as an excellent student and impressed A&M faculty enough to invite him for an on-campus visit. Holmes turned down the offer March 1, 2011, saying he would be pursuing other interests.
