At around 8:30 a.m., a custom built, experimental plane crashed after making a 180 degree turn from one of the airport's runways.
According to FAA spokesperson Allen Kenitzer, the pilot, 68-year-old George McHenry, was the only person on board.
The FAA and NTSB are investigating the accident.
The photos show the fixed wing single-engine plane prior to Sunday's crash.
Mitt Romney's scheduled appearance in Pueblo was canceled due to the crash.
