The book is about a kid named Harrison, a pretty talented running back for the local junior high school team who suffers an injury that leads to a devastating diagnosis. The story chronicles Harrison's response to his altered life and his triumph over his illness.
Green has been writing for a long time. It has, in fact, become his passion and has landed him on the New York Times Bestseller List.
But this book, "Unstoppable," may be his most inspired, because Illyssa Green, Tim's wife, has battled breast cancer, and the disease has seeped into the Green family.
"It is my hope," Green writes in an open letter to his readers, "that 'Unstoppable' will help normalize the struggle for the many people out there who are facing their own challenges, whether on the frontlines or watching from a distance."
