"I just love him and adore him. Yeah it's just hard to kind of see him and not know what's going to happen to him so," said Alice Kong, Jeremy's mother.

Ruby Law with the Asian-American Donor program is fighting for the Kong family.

She just lost a friend to leukemia.

Janet Liang, 25, got nearly 400,000 views on YouTube after posting a plea for a donor online. She got a transplant after waiting three years. Law says that was too long. Find out more about Liang here: http://helpingjanet.com/index2.html.

"It normally takes 45 days for cells to engraft after transplant. Because she already received about 15 rounds of chemotherapy her body is really weak," said Law.

Getting people to sign up for the registry has been difficult and the Kong's blame East-Asian superstition.

"They don't want to talk about the medical needs or what could happen, possibly happen - it's 'don't say it or you'll jinx it' or something," said Anthony Kong.

The two young parents are still fighting for their son's future.
