It's all part of their "Women Who Shine Campaign," and they want you to know the power of the perfect mentor.                       

Editor-in-chief of Yahoo! Shine Jennifer Romolini spoke on 9NEWS Wednesday morning. Romolini says the campaign is about the real women who have inspired you.

"That's why we launched this award. There are so many women out there who are recognized because they are famous. This is for everyday women who are inspiring in everyday life," Romolini said.

Romolini also says that's how she came up with the idea for the award.

"I had a couple of mentors early on in my publishing career who saw something in me, and I am eternally grateful. They mapped out a way that I could do it. I have achieved what I believe is my dream job."

"The Women Who Shine Campaign" already has had thousands of entries and Romolini says the stories make her feel better by just reading them.
