9NEWS previously reported on a tortoise found at the corner of Maxwell and Picadilly in Denver.

Several people called saying their tortoise had been stolen and they were sure the animal belonged to them.

In an effort to ferret out the truth, the Dumb Friends League is asking the Denver Zoo for help determining the age and sex of the tortoise.
