To commemorate the event, they are hosting a Camporee or camping event for all their scouts this weekend.
"The event is called 'The 100'. We'll have over one hundred activities featured Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch," the Director of Marketing of Boy Scouts of America, Nicole Cosme said.
The Caporee specifically targets scouts of all ages but the public is also allowed and encouraged to participate in events going on Saturday. "We are expecting 5,000 to 6,000 visitors this weekend. Saturday is open to the public as well for day visitors," Cosme said.
The celebration begins Friday and lasts through Sunday. The events will be held at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch and it costs $30 per person, $25 dollars for family camping and $20 for Saturday visitors. For more information, visit denverboyscouts.org.
