The team invited doctors and nurses who responded to the Aurora shooting to the game. The crew of more than 20 was able to enjoy the game from the owner's suite.

"We're so excited," Becky Davis said. "Everyone is here together, and we are having a great time."

Davis is the head nurse at University hospital. Her job on the night of the shooting was to direct the nurses. She was the brains of the operation that night.

Davis says she and her team didn't lose a life that night. They successfully helped every patient that came into the emergency room.

"Our team [is] all working on dealing with it," she said. "Things bring it back though."

But on Friday, the team got to sit back and relax. They got the opportunity to enjoy themselves and be recognized for their heroism.

Becky Davis even had the honor of throwing the first pitch before the game started.

"It's something I really appreciate. It's just really nice," Davis said.

It was a privilege the doctors and nurses say they appreciated. It was a day that helped everyone get closer to healing.
