Denver Police officers responded to the intersection of South Broadway and Cedar Streets around 1 a.m. Sunday.
A spokesperson from Denver Police says a woman crossing the street there was hit by a tan or beige sedan.
That vehicle was reported to be driving at a very high rate of speed away from the crash scene, southbound on Broadway.
The woman was taken the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Denver Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to contact investigators at 720-913-STOP (7867).
