9NEWS morning reporter Belen DeLeon was visiting with a member of the creative team behind the 13th Floor Haunted House. She was learning how nearly 100 actors help bring the 13th Floor to creepy life.

The "13th Floor" is considered one of the scariest Halloween attractions in Colorado, and it just got even more frightening, with a new zombie attraction "Undead."

Belen was discovering how this year, the 13th Floor will be featured in an episode of Travel Channel's "Making Monsters" with two new state-of-the-art creatures that use cutting edge computer technology.

Owner, Chris Stafford told Belen there are a lot of new things to see, from ice caves and the laser swamps to the chicken coop where some survivors have gone.

"After the living room you are going to go through the kitchen, the bedroom, it's under siege by zombies on all sides," Stafford said.

Everything was going so well. Then, just as the interview was winding up, a pack of undead leapt from the darkness and seized her, making her one of "their own."

Our Gannett human resources department is checking to see if there are any policies that might cover zombie attacks of this nature. So far, no luck. Sorry Belen.
