It is a four-day festival which brings a little of the Icelandic culture to town with a series of events celebrating Icelandic food and music.
"It was a collaboration between Iceland Air and the government and chef Hákon Már Örvarsson to come in and make a menu for us. We thought it would be really cool for four days to put on the event," executive chef at Coohills Tom Coohill said.
Már Örvarsson is a chef from Iceland, and one of the main attractions of the festival. Örvarsson prepared his world famous Icelandic Arctic Char in the 9NEWS studio. It is one of the featured dishes as part of a four course meal during the 'Taste of Iceland' which costs $65 per person.
A Taste of Iceland will last Thursday through Sunday. For a complete list of events and their locations go to http://www.icelandnaturally.com/events/taste-of-iceland-in-denver-2012/.
