Sgt. Tony Clayton with the Grand Junction Police Department says the woman, whose name has not been released, was walking in the 900 block of Main Street when she was struck just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday. The woman is hospitalized in critical condition.

Clayton says the driver fled the scene.
