It has raised more than $3 million for Down syndrome research, medical care, advocacy and education.
Equally important, it has raised awareness regarding the shocking disparity of funding for people with Down syndrome, while successfully emphasizing their abilities. This year's event is on Saturday Oct. 13 at the Sheraton Downtown Denver Hotel.
On Friday, Oct. 19, the first-annual LCI Down Syndrome Symposium will be held in the Phelps Auditorium on the Anschutz Medical Campus. This symposium is for scientists interested in Down syndrome.
